About the Event

Our purpose is to develop competency and practice skills in the experiential model of Emotionally Focused Therapy, which can feel simple to understand and challenging to master. EFT competency is best built in a supportive community, watching recordings of sessions, and practicing skills experientially together.

EFT Group Consultation will be on Thursday afternoons (on July 25th; August 1st & 8th) for 90 minutes from 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm Central via Zoom.

The cost for group is $150 USD, equivalent to $50 for each 90-minute group session. To secure your spot in the group, the full payment is required, even if you aren’t able to attend all of the sessions. The number of group spots is limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

At each consultation session, we will break the time into three 30-minute blocks. During each block, one group member will be able to share a clip of their work, and we will process together as a group. The clip should be about 8 -10 minutes long, prepped at the time you’d like to begin, and checked to ensure the sound and visuals are able to be heard over Zoom.

We’ll use the ACES and HEARTS model as our consultation structure. The acronym ACES guides the focus of EFT and of our consultation group:

A - Alliance

C - Conceptualization

E - Experiential

S - Self-of-the-Therapist

We will process clips and questions through these four overlapping constructs.

Note:

Dr. Murphy does not offer AAMFT or licensure supervision as part of EFT consultation. Please reach out to your local EFT community if you’re looking for a supervisor that can offer licensure support, or visit www.iceeft.com and search for the “S” designator.
