TRAINING AND EVENTS

Congruent with Emotionally Focused Therapy, EFT Tennessee wants to be as responsive, safe, and inviting to you as we reasonably can.

If there any cultural, ethnic, gender-related, racial, and/or religious issues, etc. that are particularly important to you that we could be especially sensitive to in our training that would help you feel safe in your experience of our training(s), please indicate that on your registration form.

In addition, if you have any special needs or accommodations you would like us to be aware of prior to the event (food/other allergies, seating needs etc.), please include this in the comment section of your registration form as well so we can better assist you.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns we can be reached via the Contact form or by calling (615) 295-3729.

EXTERNSHIPS

These four-day Externships are endorsed by ICEEFT.  Attending this training is the first step to being listed on the ICEEFT website where couples can go to find a trained couple therapist.  It is also a step towards becoming a certified EFT therapist.  This training will teach you to:

  • See couple distress from an attachment perspective

  • Help partners reprocess the emotional responses that maintain couple distress

  • Shape key new interaction and bonding events, and

  • Overcome therapeutic impasses

CORE SKILLS

Core Skills training comprises either four 2-day workshops or two 3-day workshops focusing on the core skills of each of the EFT steps.  Each set of trainings last a total of 48 hours of training that will contain instruction and experiential practice of EFT skills and interventions according to the guidelines developed by ICEEFT.

Participants are required to have completed an EFT Externship, be willing to participate in role plays and be open to feedback from the trainer and the group.

EVENTS

Between peer groups, workshops, podcasts and EFT socials, we are dedicated to building a community of EFT Therapists.

This is a great way to connect and grow!
